Aloha and thank you for your interest!
Please check out this Brief Overview of our Organization!
Who We Are and What We Do:
The Middle Eastern Dance Artists of Hawai'i (MEDAH) was founded in 1989, by Dr.
Peggy Murphy (Hazzard). The only non-profit group of its kind, its charge is to create and
support educational, cultural and entertaining aspects of Middle Eastern dance, related
cultures and arts.
Our Board:
MEDAH is run by an elected Board, which is made up of a President, Vice President,
Treasurer, Secretary, and 3 Member at Large Officers. You can see pictures of each
Current Board Member by clicking on the Board Members Tab to the left of the screen.
Contact information for the Board is available in each issue of the Zagoreet! by MEDAH
on this website.
Our Bylaws:
MEDAH is governed by Bylaws, and Roberts Rules of Order. The Bylaws can be
found in a Tab to the left. Each new member is given a copy of the Bylaws upon joining.
This may be either via electronic transmission (email) or a physical copy. A copy of
Roberts Rules of Order is usually present at MEDAH Board and Membership
Meetings.
