Celebration of Cultures

Middle Eastern Dance Artists of Hawai'i (MEDAH) invites the public to join them for their Celebration of Cultures. In the spirit of Japan’s national Culture Day which celebrates culture and arts, MEDAH has invited performance groups of various cultures to share their art with the public from the beautiful and historic Kapiolani Bandstand.

Call for Performance Groups
Thank you for your interest in performing with MEDAH at the Kapiolani Bandstand in celebration of Culture Day! This will be an opportunity to showcase your latest work and progression with fellow dance and music practitioners from a variety of cultures. Please use the link to fill in the form with your information by September 12th as we gauge interest for this event. You will receive notification by September 15 whether you have received a slot! We look forward to performing with you soon!
Time Allotted: 15 minutes (more or less time may be available to a given group)
Note: We have been awarded a grant to be able to compensate performance groups. Compensation (up to $350) is based on size of group, length and complexity of performance. We will include the offer with our notifications.
MEDAH members: Our group will also be allotted a limited time to perform. Please email info@medah.org if you are interested in performing.
